OSBORN Clipper Privacy Policy

Effective 2026-10-10 · Applies to the OSBORN Clipper browser extension for Chrome and Safari.

What the extension does

OSBORN Clipper saves the web page you are viewing into your own OSBORN PA knowledge base. It has one purpose: clipping a page when you ask it to.

What it reads, and when

• The extension reads a page only after you click its toolbar button on that page. It does not run on any other page and does not track your browsing.
• When you open it, it reads the current tab's address, title and readable text (with image addresses) to show a preview.
• The page is sent only when you click the save button.

What it sends, and to whom

When you save, the extension sends the page address, title and extracted text to the server address set in its settings. The default is https://osbornpa.com. The request carries the personal clip token you entered. Nothing is sent to the extension's developer, to analytics services, to advertisers or to any other third party.

What it stores on your device

• Your server address and personal clip token, in the browser's extension storage on your device.
• A clip that has not been confirmed by the server yet, so you can retry it manually. It is removed once the server confirms it.

Removing the extension deletes this local data.

Data on the server

Saved pages are stored in your OSBORN PA account and are visible only to that account. You can revoke a clip token at any time on osbornpa.com/settings/clipper; a revoked token stops working immediately.

What we never do

• We do not sell or transfer your data to third parties.
• We do not use your data for advertising, for purposes unrelated to clipping, or to determine creditworthiness or for lending.
• The extension does not load or run remote code.

• 只有你在某个页面上点了扩展按钮，扩展才读取这个页面。它不在其他页面运行，也不追踪你的浏览记录。

• 只有你点了保存按钮，页面才会被发送。

发送什么、发给谁

保存时，扩展把网址、标题和提取的正文发送到设置里填写的服务器地址，默认是 https://osbornpa.com。请求带着你填写的个人剪藏凭据。不会发给扩展开发者、统计服务、广告商或任何第三方。

在你设备上保存什么

• 服务器地址和个人剪藏凭据，保存在本机浏览器的扩展存储里。
• 服务器尚未确认的剪藏，留在本机供你手动重试；服务器确认后即删除。

移除扩展会删除这些本机数据。

服务器上的数据

保存的网页存放在你的 OSBORN PA 账号里，只有这个账号能看到。你可以随时在 osbornpa.com/settings/clipper 吊销剪藏凭据，吊销后立即失效。

我们绝不做的事

• 不出售你的数据，也不转交第三方。
• 不把你的数据用于广告、与剪藏无关的用途，或信用评估和借贷。
• 扩展不加载、不运行远程代码。

变更与联系
